FORMATO PRESENCIAL

Centro Cultural Mori, ubicado en Santiago de Chile, ha creado el Festival Internacional de Teatro Familiar FAMFEST como un espacio para la exhibición, producción y discusión en torno a las artes escénicas. Además, se trata de una instancia de encuentro e intercambio entre compañías nacionales e internacionales.

FAMFEST asume de manera consciente que las artes escénicas para la infancia y la juventud entregan posibilidades para ampliar las perspectivas de mundo a través de un hecho artístico, sensible y de gran calidad.

En este 2024 queremos poner en valor la audiencia joven, principalmente con una oferta de teatro inclusivo, generando un encuentro de calidad e inclusivo, donde todas y todos los niños y jóvenes en sus distintas capacidades puedan disfrutar de nuestros montajes.

Como festival acogemos producciones de diversas técnicas teatrales como teatro de actores, teatro de títeres, teatro físico, marionetas, teatro de sombras, circo, danza, clown, teatro en miniatura, pantomima, teatro gestual, narración oral y teatro musical.
Todas estas temáticas para público familiar.

Objetivos

• Contribuir a la oferta programática con actividades de artes escénicas dirigidas a público familiar con enfoque inclusivo.
• Promover el reconocimiento social y cultural de la actividad profesional desarrollada por compañías nacionales dentro del marco de un festival internacional.
• Propiciar la creación y formación de públicos a las artes escénicas, a través de la valoración del hecho artístico.
• Promover y contribuir a la integración y creación del espacio teatral mundial, a través de la participación en este evento de elencos de los países iberoamericanos dedicados al teatro infantil y juvenil.
• Favorecer la producción escénica dedicada a la infancia y la juventud, tanto en la dramaturgia como en la puesta en escena.
• Generar un espacio de reflexión e intercambio sobre la importancia del teatro familiar en la escuela y en la sociedad.
• Promover el país como destino cultural y turístico importante.

Lugar y fecha del festival

La versión número 17 del festival se realizará en la ciudad de Santiago, capital de Chile, entre el 10 y el 25 de agosto 2024, con posibilidad de extenderse a otras regiones de Chile.

Sobre obras participantes

• Pueden participar todas las compañías de teatro y danza infantil y juvenil con propuestas para sala o espacio abierto.
• El idioma principal de la obra deberá ser en español, o que su comprensión no dependa del texto verbal.
• Las compañías deben contar con los respectivos derechos de autor y/o de representación.
• Las producciones deberán tener una duración máxima de ochenta y cinco (85) minutos, y un mínimo de treinta y cinco (35) minutos.
• Las condiciones económicas sobre el pago cada función depende del formato en que exhiba la obra (sala, comuna, región) y serán acordados una vez comunicados los seleccionados.
• En el caso de las producciones internacionales el festival se responsabilizará de los gastos asociados a alojamiento, alimentación y traslados internos (de máximo 6 integrantes) El cachet será un valor a convenir.
• La organización se reserva todos los derechos de grabación y difusión audiovisual y editorial de los espectáculos, talleres, debates, conferencias e intervenciones durante el evento para los fines que estime conveniente.
• Las compañías seleccionadas deberán participar de una capacitación obligatoria para la realización de funciones inclusivas.
• Las obras seleccionadas para campaña escolar, deberán enviar material pedagógico del montaje 30 días antes de realizar la función.
• Una vez seleccionadas las obras, se destinará un apoyo económico para madres y padres cuidadores de infantes de menos de 3 años, este recurso de apoyo será limitado y principalmente para personas de regiones, con más de un hijx, o que tengan alguna discapacidad.

NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL CALL 17th FAMFEST FACE-TO-FACE FORMAT

Centro Cultural Mori, located in Santiago, Chile, has created an International Family Thater Festival –FAMFEST- as a place to exhibit, produce and discuss different aspects of theatrical arts. Besides, it is a resort of encounter and exchange among national and international companies.

FAMFEST is aware that the theatrical arts for children and youth in general provide possibilities to spread up world perceptions through an artistic and sensitive event, of great quality.

For 2024 we want to value the young audience, delivering a Festival of good quality and inclusive where all children and youngsters through their own capacities, can enjoy our program.

As a Festival we embrace productions of diverse theatrical techniques such as actors’ theater, muppets, physical theater, marionettes, shadows theater, circus, dance, clown, miniature theater, pantomime, gesture theater, oral account theater and musical theater. All of these practices focus towards family audiences.

Objectives

• Contribute to the programming offer with activities of the theatrical arts aimed to family audiences, with an inclusive approach.
• Promote social and cultural acknowledgement of the professional activity developed by national companies within the framework of an international festival.
• Contribute to the creation and instruction of theatrical arts various audiences, through de value given to the artistic event.
• Promote and contribute to the integration and creation of a worldwide theater spread, through the participation of casts from Ibero-American countries, dedicated to children and youth theater.
• Support the theatrical production aimed at childhood and adolescents, including the dramaturgy as well as the staging.
• Generate a reflection and exchange space regarding the importance of family theater at school and society.
• Promote the country as a cultural and touristic important destination.

Place and Dates

The 17th version of the festival will take place in Santiago, Chile’s capital city, between the 10th and the 25th of August, with the possibility of extending it to other regions of the country.

Regarding participants’ plays

• All childhood and adolescent theater and dance companies that have a proposal for the stage or open space.
• The main language should be Spanish or that its comprehension does not depends on the verbal text.
• Companies must have the respective author rights and/or those of representation.
• Productions must last a maximum of eighty-five (85) minutes and a minimum of thirty-five (35) minutes.
• The economic terms about the payment of each presentation will depend upon the format of representation (venue, township, region) and will be agreed upon once the chosen productions are informed.
• Regarding the international productions, the Festival will be responsible for the associated expenses of accommodation, food and domestic transportation.
• The selected companies must participate in a mandatory training to perform inclusive presentations.
• The selected companies for the schools’ campaign, must send their pedagogical material of the staging 30 days before the presentation takes place.
• Once the plays are selected, there will be economical support for those mother and fathers who take care of children below three years of age. This support will be limited and will mostly be directed for people from the regions, with more than one child and/or if they have some kind of disability.
• The organization keeps all the rights regarding recordings, audiovisual distribution and editorial contents of the performances, workshops, debates, conferences and interventions during the event for the purposes it considers to be convenient.
